Singularity was formed in February 1997 when Andy Goldhawk (bass and vocals), Jamie McGregor (drums), and John Green (keyboards and vocals) met to work on a few cover tunes. They immediately discovered a passion for writing original music, and the cover tunes were soon forgotten. Several months later, Matt Zafiratos joined Singularity as the guitarist and the band began recording "Lenses" and "Ebb and Flow" in a local studio. Nearly a year after releasing a self-titled EP in very limited quantities, they went back to the studio to complete work on their first full-length CD. "Color of Space" has received airplay on many Internet radio stations and garnered several reviews, including a 12 1/2 star rating in Progression Magazine. Andy Goldhawk has since left the band, and the remaining members are currently recording Singularity's upcoming release "Between Sunlight and Shadow".
